Artist statement
Alisha Engineer: My practice focuses on the creation of 3D props and character assets that balance visual quality with efficiency for industry workflows. I am interested in how form, topology, and surface detail can work together to produce assets that are both aesthetically engaging and technically optimized for production environments. Working primarily in Autodesk Maya and ZBrush, I approach modeling as both a technical and expressive process, where clean geometry and thoughtful design support storytelling and performance. My work is informed by my Indian heritage, my upbringing in Dubai, and my experiences in Vancouver, shaping a perspective that values clarity, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity within digital production.
Maithili Dhure: I’ve always been drawn to the idea of sonder and the interconnectedness of our lives. I enjoy exploring themes of humanity and telling stories that highlight the struggles and joys that define what it means to be human. Growing up surrounded by fantasy media and fairytales, I’ve found that 3D animation allowed me to bring this vision to life through the story of a fairy who discovers and helps humanity.
Manasa Srikanth: I have been passionate about creating art for as long as I can remember, and learning how to create through 3D has been a wonderful learning experience. Visual storytelling has always been where I find my motivation lies, and I have loved exploring that through 3D, specifically look development.
