Solitude ÷ Organize =

space screen × grid storage

Solitude ÷ Organize = is a modular storage system designed for customized needs and compact spaces, allowing people to build their own “Solitude bubble” in the middle of the busy, crowded modern cities.

It creates a space – but not an isolated one. Like a bubble, it separates a translucent solitude space in the present moment. It’s the process of setting up mental boundaries by organizing internal space through physical organization in storage and in the living space.

In the modern city, renting and moving around have become common. This storage system can be reorganized through expansion or subtraction to adapt to a new environment. It’s easy to store when disassembled and allows multiple disassemblies and reassemblies.

The system was designed to enable customized functions by adding modular components. It can evolve with life shifts. It can function as a display shelf, storage, dividers, hanging space, stools, or standing tables, depending on the setup. The visuals were carefully designed so that the user’s belongings—not the furniture—become the statement in the space.

The scale was carefully decided. With different settings, it can provide a sitting height, a standing table height, and a taller height as a room divider.

Between the units, a neat 3mm gap is created by cork pads and alignment feet, providing friction, alignment, and a clean visual.

The shape of the cork pad is still under development; the current version features a flower motif designed to provide an intuitive alignment experience and visual pleasure.
