Dent & Wiggle, Stoneware clay, underglaze, glaze, oil based ink on mulberry paper, 2025-2026

Dent & Wiggle is a series of twenty abstract monotype prints set in a grid formation to create one large work, accompanied by four altered ceramic vessels. This project focuses on ideas of form, pattern and the ways in which colours interact with each other. By slowly wiping away the ink from the plate the different forms reveal themselves. Working intuitively, each layer informs the next through both colour and form. Continuing to work instinctively, the hand built ceramic vessels are slowly pushed and pulled until their final forms emerge leaving space to experiment with colour, pattern and texture through the use of both underglaze and various final glazes.
