Film Synopsis:

In a scorched, post-apocalyptic wasteland, a relentless young scavenger hunts for the rarest bounty left in the world: a functioning power core. Worth over a billion credits, it’s her only shot at escaping a life of survival. But when a cheerful little robot latches onto her, wanting nothing more than to be her friend, her search for power cores becomes about more than just survival. When she finally faces what she’s been looking for, she’s forced to choose between the future she’s fought for and saving the only companion who never left her side.

Eunsoo Baek is a rigging and technical artist based in Vancouver. With a deep understanding of anatomy, she builds intuitive control systems that empower animators to bring characters and props to life with natural, fluid movement. Driven by curiosity and an independent research mindset, she thrives on solving technical challenges, streamlining pipelines, and developing tools that enhance artists’ workflows.

Meet Natalie Toom, a 3D Character Animator and Voice Actor from Seattle, Washington. Completing her studies in 3D animation, Natalie brings characters to life through expressive animation and voice over work. Kaiya Chow

Kaiya Chow is a Vancouver-based 3D animator and VFX artist specializing in character and creature performances. Driven by a passion for impactful storytelling, her work focuses on expressive body mechanics and thoughtful acting choices to bring personable characters to life. With a background in 2D animation and stop motion, she has spent the past three years refining her craft in Autodesk Maya and Houdini, developing a strong eye for cinematic framing and visual composition. She approaches each shot with a focus on performance and narrative intent, creating animation that feels dynamic, compelling, and grounded in story.

Dawon Choi

Dawon Choi is a Vancouver-based 3D artist, specializing in texturing and lighting. She’s especially interested in how surface detail and light interact to bring mood and believability to a scene. She works across a range of materials, from organic surfaces to hard surface assets, with a focus on capturing their unique qualities in a natural and realistic way. She also sees lighting as a key tool for conveying story and emotion within a scene. Her work aims to stay grounded in realism while maintaining a clear visual intention.

Irene Yen is a 3D modeler based in Vancouver, specializing in stylized characters and asset creation. Christy Pham is a 3D character animator and illustrator based in Vancouver, Canada. She is a graduate of VanArts 3D Character Animation program and Emily Carr University of Art + Design 3D Computer Animation program. With strengths in storyboarding and layout, she builds her shots through composition, posing, and performance to bring characters to life. She is drawn to character-driven stories that explore humor, personality, and the small moments that make characters feel real.

Varun Bhosle

Varun Bhosle is a lighting and compositing artist based in Vancouver. As an international student, he brings in multiple influences and takes interest in multiple forms of art, such as music and graphic design. No matter the project, he aims to best express himself and do the project justice. His work often bounces between traditional approaches and more experimental styles that bend the medium of 3D. Ultimately, he aims to create work that feels clear, intentional, and artistically rich.
