He’s bullied by a sentient bat plushie to go to Yumi University and replace the person that’s burned a hole in his mind in order to find answers and save said missing person from the hell they’re stuck in.”
Ad Infernal has been a passion project of mine for about 4 years, so I was thrilled to be able to make a demo for it for my final year. I’d like to use this site to go over the various work done behind the scenes!
It’s a 16 chapter long visual novel following protagonist Ei Loft as he navigates his way through the admittidly strange Yumi University. Each chapter is planned to focus on a different character.













The original plan was to get the entire first chapter done, however I decided to scale back and focus on something that would be fast enough to play during the show. because of that a lot of the CGs that were done for me had to be scrapped. All of the above were done by Eli Burdett.







A lot of the backgrounds were unused too, but they were done by Jasmine Chang.








The main monsters for the game are supposed to be things called “Hazes”, which are supposed to be bugs mixed with technology. The concepts for them (shown above) were done by Beatriz V. Wanderlay, although I also had to scrap them from the show demo.













The characters make or break the story in my opinion, so I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to show them off more in the demo, however if I did it would have been too long.
