Snug Started with a problem of my own.
I design for the moments that quietly break your momentum — the small frustrations that shouldn’t exist but do.
Snug started because I couldn’t find a seat at the library. That’s it. No dramatic origin story, just a simple problem that stuck with me.
What interested me wasn’t the logistics of seat-finding. It was the feeling — the mild dread of walking into a crowded café with your laptop, scanning the room, and leaving. I wanted to design something that removed that feeling entirely, not just solved the problem. Good design should feel inevitable.

Snug as a Design Story

Snug is a story about subtraction. Every iteration removed something — the floor plan, the time picker, the dark palette, even the original name.
What was left was the simplest possible version of a useful thing: see a seat, claim it, go.
The design got warmer as it got simpler, and that felt right. Comfort shouldn’t be complicated.
What is Snug?
Snug is a mobile app that lets you find and claim seats at cafés and libraries near you — in under 60 seconds. Browse live availability, filter by what you need, and claim your spot before you even leave the door. No wandering, no guessing, no wasted trips.
