Artist Statement
Through this film, I express my thoughts on war and how war impacts people. The main protagonist leaves her hometown to be safe from the ruins of the conflict and misses her family, who are left in the town. Although my younger self was ignorant compared to the current me, I miss my naïve little child self, who was ignorant about the evil in the world. Growing up, I thought every individual was free to live as they wished. As I grew older, I learnt that the world is not all about sunshine and rainbows.
Furthermore, I discovered that nations force people to fight in war, and civilians lose their families and homes. Furthermore, countries use ideologies to encourage citizens. In the end, the main protagonist desires to meet her family when peace returns.
