Yinfeng’s abusive father is seriously ill when she is far away from home. What will she do about this blood relationship that has caused her so much pain?

Artist Statement

Amberia Keke Li, as an Asian woman who grew up in China, shares a personal and critical perspective on Asian culture through her work. One question recurs in her work: how do women trapped in toxic filial piety cope with the dilemmas generated by family relationships and social environments? Her taste for the use of metaphors in animation and for creative expressions related to the “subconscious” is greatly inspired by Satoshi Kon.
