Director Statement:
This film allowed me to blend two of my greatest passions, storytelling in animation and my love for the ocean, Seaborn is an expression of the way that personal stories can still exist in fantasy settings, and be used to reflect on reality and the issues in our own world, All in in a way that can be understood and enjoyed by younger audiences. From a young age I’ve been deeply fascinated by the ocean and the life that resides in it, my goal is to raise awareness about its protection and beauty while conveying a heartwarming story about a mother and daughter and their relationship to each other and the natural world.
