Marcie’s First Slice of Life is a collaborative project developped by Caitlyn Loy (a 2D + Experimental Animation student) and Valerie Leung (an Illustration student). This page introduces the animated film version of the story, that goes along with Valerie’s comic book.
LOGLINE
The story follows Marcie: an anxious, inexperienced teen who struggles to get the hang of working her first-ever job at an intergalactic pizzeria. When her well-meaning-yet-oblivious boss, Joey, is called away at the beginning of a shift, she must do what she can to pull through on her own.
