Sealed With A Kiss (2026) – Lucy, a Marine Veterinarian takes an injured seal into her care, only to discover that the seal is really a Selkie. Lucy must help her heal and return to the ocean, but they fall in love along the way.

As an animation artist, I believe it is important to tell stories that can create a positive impact. My vision for this film was to tell a story that focusing on healing and recovery from trauma. Experiencing trauma can shape us, but it does not have to define us. I feel that it is my responsibility to share this story with the goal of helping others. Many people have told me that they feel connected to my characters, and it is deeply inspiring to me to know that my work has made others feel seen.

Daisy Rutter

Daisy Rutter grew up in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Vancouver, BC to pursue her career in animation. She received a diploma in Visual and Creative Arts from Sheridan College and has graduated from Emily Carr University with a Bachelor of Media Arts in 2D & Experimental Animation. With proficiency in character animation, layout and environmental storytelling, Daisy looks forward to stepping into the industry with the opportunity to work on animated projects with inspiring stories. When Daisy isn’t working on her projects, you can find her out in the world capturing her surroundings in her sketchbook or playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends.
