Dear Wish is a pop-up exhibition that invites you to explore the art of thoughtful gesture. Aiming to bring sincerity back into everyday moments, this project reimagines cake not as a mere celebratory object, but as a sincere expression of care and a wish for another’s happiness.
Problem Space
Cakes are a universal language for celebration and gratitude. However, in our fast-paced modern lives, this gesture has often drifted into a routine obligation. We find ourselves buying cakes out of habit or social expectation, leading the profound emotional weight behind the gift to gradually diminish. When a ritual becomes automatic, the action remains but the genuine sentiment or the heart of the gift often gets lost in the process.
Thesis Statement
By reimagining the cake as a vessel for intentionality, it aims to restore the emotional resonance of giving. By slowing down the process of sharing and celebrating, this project transforms a fleeting ritual into a moment of genuine connection. Through a curated experience that encourages reflection, the exhibit invites people to consider the message they wish to convey. This turns a simple gift into a sincere expression of care for others and for oneself.
